Angela Harmon-Kuhl is an equity partner managing the Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan office which opened in 2008.  She worked in the firm’s Farmington Hills, MI office for seven years prior to her move to Sault Ste. Marie.  Angela has been working in the legal industry since 1987.  She has broad experience in civil litigation and regularly proceeds to trial.  She is an aggressive litigator and negotiator and her experience includes representing insurance carriers and corporations in the handling of cases regarding auto negligence, premises liability, product liability, first-party insurance, general liability, foreclosure, collection, bankruptcy, personal injury, insurance fraud and toxic mold cases as well as defending director and officers and homeowner's and condominium associations. 

CASE HIGHLIGHTS

  • Angela received a no cause verdict after a nine day arbitration in which the claimants, who were officers and trustees of our client’s insured – a national organization – alleged violation of due process, conversion, breach of fiduciary responsibility, battery, conspiracy and concert of action, defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress.  The highest demand was $4 million.  All claims asserted by the claimants were denied in their entirety.

  • Angela received a no cause verdict after a two week trial in Macomb County when four Plaintiffs claims they suffered personal injury as a result of mold.  

  • The Michigan Trial Reporter announced a no cause verdict in a PIP case she tried in Detroit, Michigan.  She has also obtained a no cause verdict in Oakland County wherein the Plaintiff, pedestrian, claimed an insured ran over the Plaintiff with a motor vehicle.
  • Angela received her Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Clearly College, Magna Cum Laude, and received her Juris Doctorate degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.  She worked full time while attending law schoolin the evening and weekends.  She graduated the top 1/3 of her class, on the Dean's list, with a concentration in litigation. 

    She also participated in a Prosecution Externship for the 35th District Court.
