Brooke L. Riffell received her Juris Doctor degree from Valparaiso University School of Law in Valparaiso, Indiana.  She received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Purdue University.  During law school, Ms. Riffell interned for the LaPorte County Prosecutor's Office and at The Law Office of Robert H. Sorge, in Hammond, Indiana.

After being licensed to practice law, Ms. Riffell accepted an associate position with The Law Office of Robert H. Sorge, where her broad general practice included litigation, family law, real estate, estate planning, guardianships, bankruptcy and criminal matters.

Ms. Riffell is currently an associate in the Crown Point, Indiana office of Kopka, Pinkus, Dolin & Eads.  Since joining KPDE, Ms. Riffell has concentrated her practice in personal injury defense including civil litigation and jury trials involving automobile and trucking cases, premises liability cases defending McDonald’s franchisees statewide, and defending direct actions against insurance companies involving fraudulent claims, bad faith and UM/UIM claims.

Ms. Riffell is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of Indiana, the Supreme Court of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.  Her professional affiliations include the Indiana Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, the Calumet American Inns of Court, and the Lake County Bar Association where she is active in the Women in Law Section and serves on the Board of Directors.
